Harlequin Floors Lend A Hand to the New Ballet Ensemble of Memphis

This morning, as a "surprise" to the New Ballet Ensemble and School in Memphis, Tennessee, Harlequin donated $20,000 of Liberty sprung panels, Studio flooring, freestanding ballet barres and glassless mirrors. This was part of The Today Show's Al Roker's Lend A Hand project. Each year, Al Roker goes to five locations around the country and showers gifts and donations on worthy causes.

The Today Show contacted us this year to be a part of this wonderful program. The New Ballet Ensemble provides dance training to students regardless of their ability to pay. Because we provided such a sizeable donation, The Today Show was able to use funds given by Kool-Aid to match the same amount of Liberty panels, ballet barres and Studio floor, and even gave them enough Cascade to tour with.

We have chronicled this great event on our website. Just go to our home page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a link to Lend A Hand. . This will bring you to the complete story and within the story is a link to the actual video footage of Al Roker giving away truckloads of donations to the New Ballet Ensemble.

This marks the first time in its history that American Harlequin has been mentioned on national television. It's truly an historic moment for us!
